Conditions of Use
The use of computing facilities in the Faculty of Humanities & Social
Science is subject to and conditional upon acceptance and observation of
the following.
- Users must not use another user's ID
- Users must not do anything which causes damage to computer equipment, peripherals or software. In the event of such a situation, payment may be required
- The use of computing facilities is subject to the provisions of
the Copyright Act (1956) and subsequent regulations
- The integrity and privacy of other users' data and programs must not be breached
- The creation, display, production and circulation of offensive material in any form is forbidden
- Work carried out for non-University users or non-attributable to legitimate University requirements must be authorised by the Faculty Secretary. A charge will be made at the appropriate rate.
- Failure to observe the rules may result in withdrawal of facilities by the Faculty Secretary or, in serious cases, in reference by him/her for action to be taken under the appropriate University disciplinary procedures.
- Students will not be able to have their passwords changed without production of their ID card
